Working Principle

The rotary iron remover/magnetic separator mainly utilizes the strong magnetic field generated by permanent magnets or electromagnets to adsorb magnetic particles in the materials onto the surface of the rotating drum. As the drum rotates, the magnetic particles are carried to a designated position, and then they are separated from the drum through a scraper or other means, thus achieving the separation of magnetic substances from non-magnetic substances.

Structural Features

  • Drum: Usually made of stainless steel or wear-resistant materials, with a smooth surface to ensure that magnetic particles can be adsorbed and separated smoothly. Permanent magnets or electromagnetic coils are installed inside the drum to generate a magnetic field.
  • Drive Device: It provides power to make the drum rotate, generally composed of a motor, a speed reducer, and a coupling, etc. The drive device can precisely control the rotation speed of the drum to meet the separation requirements of different materials.
  • Frame: It supports the entire equipment. Usually, it is made of a steel structure and has sufficient strength and stability to ensure that the equipment will not shake or deform during operation.
